HAI announces that it has now released Version 1.1.2 for its
Snap-Link Software. This is a major update with new features,
improved performance and stability.
The "Hottest" new feature is Audio system control and status for supported Hi-Fi by HAI,
NuVo, and Russound audio systems. These functions require controller firmware 2.14 or higher.
This new audio feature provides functionality similar to an OmniTouch Touchscreen
with Snap-Link's portability. Depending on the capabilities of your audio system,
you can control sources, volume, stations, tracks, and even get meta-data
like artist and song titles. When you use this feature on an
Ultra-Mobile PC Snap-Link can control your audio system from anywhere in the house.
Highlights of this release include the following:
-
Added Audio control and status functions.
- Significantly reduced CPU utilization.
- Modified the Control > Units list so that HLC and Vizia RF Z-Wave units in a room are now indented under the scene switch.
- Fixed problem where new themes could not be saved.
- Added the ability to trigger alerts on User Button/Macros.
Note that previously created user defined themes may not display audio pages properly.
This problem is due to new theme properties added for the audio pages.
If you encounter a problem, recreate the user defined theme starting with one of
the predefined themes. This action will add the missing properties.
For registered users this software update is free.
When you launch Snap-Link on the Options page (the first page), click
the "Check For Updates..." button and follow the wizard. If you have Snap-Link
automatically connecting at startup, it goes straight to the home page and bypasses
the options page. In this case, just click the "Disconnect" button and you
will go back to the options page.
