HAI Omni-Bus Lighting NetworkFebruary 8 , 2012

Home Automation, Inc. (HAI), leading manufacturer of integrated security and home automation products since 1985, announced North American availability of its bus-based Omni-Bus Lighting Control Network product line.

HAI’s Omni-Bus Lighting Control Network combines the benefits of a central lighting control system with the flexibility of a distributed lighting control system.  The key benefits include elegant, multi-button programmable wall switches while eliminating the expense of in-wall high voltage wiring to multi-way switches.  Whereas competing central lighting systems require home runs to a single central cabinet, modular Omni-Bus components can be located where needed to save wiring and installation costs.

Omni-Bus modules utilize DIN-Rail, a worldwide standard for mounting equipment.  Several load control modules are available, including an advanced dimmer capable of controlling CFL, LED, Electronic Low-Voltage (ELV), Halogen, and incandescent lighting sources.  All modules are capable of controlling 120-240V, 50/60 Hz.  The Omni-Bus system is powered by a digital power supply, making it one of the most energy-efficient lighting systems available.  The products are broken down into four segments:  Core Products (Required), Load Control Modules, Switch Interfaces, and Accessories.   Products are available for control of lighting loads, fans, motors, pumps, shutters, shades, and more.

An Omni-Bus lighting control system has complete stand-alone functionality, and is configured using a free software utility for PC.  It may also be fully integrated into HAI Ethernet-enabled Omni and Lumina home control systems for increased programming functionality and remote access via the internet.

All modules are CE, FCC, UL (ETL) approved and will be shipping by the end of Q1 2012 through HAI’s worldwide distribution network.  HAI will be providing an Omni-Bus enclosure meeting code requirements for a secure and quick installation in the North American marketplace.

“Omni-Bus has been extremely successful in International markets,” explained Allison Read, HAI International Sales Manager.  “HAI’s Din-Rail system affords Integrators an elegant and unique product to control virtually any lighting source, while reducing required wiring to speed up installation and save money.”

HAI products are available through a worldwide network of Distributors and installing Dealers in over 80 countries.  For more information on HAI, please visit www.homeauto.com or email sales@homeauto.com
