Home Automation, Inc. (HAI), the leading manufacturer of integrated automation and
security products will be featured in an upcoming episode of the nationally
syndicated television program, Bob Vila's Home Again. The series will
highlight the construction of a home located in the I'On community of Mt.
Pleasant, South Carolina. The Duany Plater-Zyberk "Lifespan" home has
the look of a classic Sea Island family retreat, but incorporates state of the
art features and building techniques.
HAI's most powerful controller, the OmniPro,
was chosen for the "Lifespan" house to provide both security and
energy management. Since 1985 HAI has manufactured home automation systems that
integrate control of security, lighting, air and heat, fire protection, and
appliance control; all tailored to accommodate a homeowner's individual needs
and lifestyle. All HAI systems may be accessed by telephone, personal computers,
and over the Internet.
In the episode, which airs the week of October 9th,
HAI Eastern Region Manager Tom Morgan explains the wiring and installation
process of an HAI home automation system. "As competition heats up in the
building market, we're finding a growing interest amongst builders for
affordable technology that truly benefits the homeowner in a practical
way," notes Morgan. "With an HAI home automation system, a homeowner
can access their system over the telephone or Internet for convenience, enjoy
energy savings, and rest easy knowing they are providing their family with the
ultimate in comfort and safety."
All HAI products are sold through its worldwide
network of distributors and installed by over 800 trained dealers. For more
