Speaker/Microphone Module at the ISC/Home Automation Show in Las Vegas on April
4, 2001.
The HAI Speaker/Microphone Module allows a
homeowner to listen in on home activities by accessing the system from a remote
phone, allows the operator of a central station to talk or listen to people and
sounds after the transmission of an alarm, and allows for paging, announcements
and conversation from an in home telephone. What sets the HAI Speaker/Microphone
Module apart from other products of its kind, is the ability to annunciate types
of alarm and customized messages.
With an optional Two-Way Audio Module, not only
is paging and listening to premises possible, but the system will also announce
the type of alarm (i.e. Burglary, fire, etc.) and zone (i.e. Front Door, Hallway
Motion, etc.), over the HAI Speaker/Microphone Module. Additionally, when used
with the Omni LT integrated security and home automation controller, custom
messages, such as "Trash Night" reminders, can be announced. This
feature can also serve as an audible reminder of special events and occasions.
