Home Automation, Inc. (HAI), a national manufacturer of integrated
automation and security systems for residential and commercial use,
announced the introduction of its newest console this week.
The Universal Console is the latest addition to HAI's best
selling Omni Family of products.
Designed with 24/7 reliability in mind, the Universal Console can
be used with any Omni family controller, which includes the OmniPro, the Omni,
and the Omni LT. The Universal console is one of several methods
by which a homeowner can access and control his HAI home automation system.
Homeowners have a choice of accessing their HAI system over the telephone, from
within or away from home, or over the Internet with HAI's award -winning Web-Link software.
Additionally, the Universal Console allows control via a keypad to adjust
the security, lighting, and temperature from within the home. It can be mounted on
the surface of a wall or flush in the wall with an included trim ring.
Similar to HAI's other consoles, the Universal console features 2 x 24 character
LCD display, menu and control functions, and red (armed)/ green
(disarmed) status indicators. What sets the Universal console apart from
other HAI consoles is the larger buttons which makes it easier to
read and operate, and two additional buttons for direct control of lighting and scenes.
"We felt it was important to offer our customers a wider selection in looks to access their HAI system," notes HAI President, Jay McLellan. "Not only do homeowners find the additional buttons for lighting and scenes important, but the larger format has been enthusiastically received for its ease of use."
All HAI products are sold through its worldwide network of
Distributors and installed by over 800 trained installers.
